Ron Ganim, the patriarch of Gymnastics World passed away in December of 2017. He leaves behind a legacy like no other. His love for his family, his athletes, and this sport are unmatched. We miss you, Mr. G. Thank you for all you have given to each and every one of us.

JOAN GANIM
Co-Owner, Director, Instructor & Girls Team Coach
Joan has been teaching and coaching gymnastics since 1969. Under her direction, Gymnastics World has had many state , Regional and National champions. She has also coached the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School team to 15 State Titles.

MARIA GANIM
Co Owner, Coach, and Media Relations
Maria is the daughter of Ron and Joan Ganim. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health from Kent State where she also was a part of their gymnastics team. She has a masters degree from Cleveland State University in Sport Management. Since having her own children, her role has been more focused on helping with media relations and the high school team as her full time job is teaching at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School.

GREG GANIM
Co Owner, Dir. of Operations & Dir. of Athletic Development
Greg Ganim started in gymnastics when he was born and has been involved in his family’s gymnastics business since 1999. While earning his bachelor degree at Kent State University, he ran track and worked at Sea World in Aurora, Ohio as a performer. Soon after, he toured with the Budlight Daredevils, an acrobatic slam dunk basketball team and then landed in Vienna, Austria for a year performing trampoline acts and high dives.
Currently, Greg helps run and manage both Gymnastics World and Cheer World and coaches the Cleveland Cavaliers’ C-Town Throwdown, which is their acro-dunk entertainment team.
Greg’s gymnastics coaching accomplishments include multiple regional and national championships, many college bound level athletes and qualifying 2 gymnasts to Championships of the USA.

AJ GANIM
Co Owner and Coach
AJ Ganim started coaching in 2004 after attending The Ohio State University, where he was a Varsity Cheerleader and studied Early Childhood Development. While starting as a gymnastics coach, AJ created the Cheer World program at the gym, expanding our programing to include competitive cheerleading. Currently he and his brother Greg are also head coach of the “C-Town ThrowDowns“, the Cleveland Cavaliers mini-tramp dunk team. He is also the tumbling coach for the Cavs Scream Team.

DEBBIE ALLEN
Educational Program Instructor
Debbie has been involved with gymnastics since elementary school and has been teaching at Gymnastics World since it first opened it’s doors in 1975. After all this time she still loves it!

MARY BACA
Educational/Girls Developmental & Team Coach
Mary started gymnastics when she was 7 years old. She has been teaching gymnastics for 25+ years and started teaching at Gymnastics World in 1996.

Office Manager
Erica graduated from Ohio University with a
Bacelor of Arts in History in 2009. She has been at Gymnastics World since 2013.

WENDY BUSH
Educational Program Instructor
Wendy has been married for over 23 years and has two children. Her son is on the boy's Gymworld team and her daughter competes in horse shows. Wendy is a liscensed fostercare parent for all ages. She also teaches preschool at Sunday school and Summer VBC.

WENDY CAMPBELL

Wendy began instructing at Gymnastics World in 2012 when her children started taking gymnastics classes. She currently helps out with the Educational programming while fulfilling many duties as the Marketing Director.

Justin was a competitive gymnast for 7 years. At the age of 15 he started assisting as a coach.

Mike Coached at Emeth Gymnastics for 7 years where he helped start the Boys Team. He has coached all boys levels including his own two sons.

HOURY GEBESHIAN
Girls Team Coach
Houry has been involved in gymnastics for 20 years. She was a level 6, 7, and 9 State Champion, a level 10 National competitor, and earned a full scholarship to the University of Iowa. At Iowa, she competed in the All-Around, was the Big Ten Champion on the balance beam, and an NCAA National competitor. Post-graduation, she continued on to elite competition, competing for the Republic of Armenia at the 2011 World Championships. Here she secured a spot as a reserve athlete for the 2012 Olympic Games. Unable to qualify to the Olympics, she returned to international competition in 2015. Houry became an All-Around finalist at the European Championships and competed at the 2015 World Championships where she secured a spot to the 2016 Olympic Test Event. Houry recently competed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio! Alongside her gymnastics training, she is also certified as both an athletic trainer and physician assistant. Currently she works as a surgical PA, on the labor and delivery floor, at Fairview Hospital.

Tannah is a wife and mother of two. She graduated from Heidelberg University with a degree in Sports Management. Both of her children are involved in gymnastics at Gym World.

MIKE HELUS
Supervisor/Instructor/Maintenance Manager
Mike began his gymnastics career in the late 60’s as a member of the Brecksville Gymnastics Team. Before joining Ron and Joan Ganim in the creation of Gymnastics World, Mike and the Gamins’ spent most of their summers teaching week long gymnastics clinics with the Kent State coaches. In 1975, he helped build and start the Gymnastics World program. He has trained many gymnasts to the state, regional and national levels.During his team coaching time he coached some gymnasts you may know: Greg, Missy, Kelly and Maggie that coach at Gymnastics World of Twinsburg. Mike has also spent many years teaching recreational and educational gymnastics. He developed the Rainbow Program in the 90s’. The Rainbow Program safely teaches proper progressions and tracks the progress of basic and advanced gymnastics skills.Mike has been with Gymnastics World for 40 years and is a proud member of Gymnastics World of Twinsburg .

JACKIE JESSER

Jackie was a Gym World gymnast for 13 years. She competed on the Brecksville High School gymnastics team and graduated in 2010. Jackie is in school to become a physical therapist assistant.

LARISSA JOHNSON

Larissa was a competitive gymnast for Lakewood YMCA and Lakewood High School before starting her coaching career in 2000. She has coached competitive girls and boys since 2002.

Jessica was a Gymnastics World gymnast her whole life. She competed for North Royalton High School and The Ohio State University Club gymnastics team. She has been coaching for the past 11 years and is happy to be back at her home gym.

Kailyn was a Gym World gymnast for 15 years before leaving for college. She coached at the YMCA and is happy to have made it full circle back to GW.

KELLY KORFHAGE
Dance Instructor
Kelly Korfhage began her gymnastics training when she was just three years old at Gymnastics World. Midway through her time on team, she began to study ballet and trained under the strict eyes of Joanne Morscher and Ana Lobe. At age 12, she made a very tough decision to dedicate more of her time to ballet, leaving her gymnastics dreams behind. In order to stay involved with Gymnastics World, Kelly spent one year cheering with the Cheer World All Stars during their inaugural season.
Along with receiving her training in North East Ohio, she has traveled to different cities all over the United States to attend summer dance intensives. She attended the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music as a Corbett Award scholarship recipient, and graduated with her BFA in Ballet Performance. Kelly then went on to become a member of Kansas City Ballet’s Second Company for two seasons. She is currently performing with Verb Ballets, a contemporary ballet company based out of Shaker Heights.
Kelly is very excited to be coming back to her roots at Gymnastics World, and to provide her knowledge in ballet to the younger generations of gymnasts.

Girls Team Coach
Kelley was a Gymnastics Worls gymnast for she was a child. She went on to compete for Kent State and is the KSU Varsity HOF for gymnastics. Kelly has coached all levels of gymnastics from recreational classes for Kenston Community education, Flytz, Cleveland Gymnastics and now Gymnastics World.

Leah was a gymnast for 16 years, including being on the Brockville Bees Gymnast. She continued her gymnastics career as a D1 gymnast at Bowling Green.

Jodi was a gymnast at Gymnastics World from 1976-1985 and began her coaching career in 2005.

CAROLINE NUN
Girls Team Program Director & Coach
Caroline started gymnastics at the age of 7 in Bermuda. By the age of 14 she moved to Cleveland and began doing gymnastics at Gymnastics World. In 1995, Caroline was hired by Gymnastics World to begin her coaching career.

Jared has 37+ years of gymnastics experience. He has been working at Gymnastics World since 2001.

DIANE RINAS
Girls Team Coach
Diane started gymnastics at age 3 and has had a lifelong passion ever since. She was Class 1/Level 10 competitive gymnast for Thome-Ohio Gymnastics. She then competed for Iowa State University Gymnastics Team in the early 90's. Diane has been coaching girls competitive teams Levels 3-10, for over 22 years, and was also a gymnastics judge for a couple of years early on.

Lance competed for the Franklin High School Boys Gymnastics team helping them win 2 State Chamopinships. He is a former Kent State University gymnast and performed as a Bud Light Daredevil

MICHAELA "KK" ROMITO
Girls Team Coach
KK was a gymnast at Gymnastics World for 17 years. She was privileged to compete in several different countries and at a national championship. She is a former a Kent State gymnast competing vault, bars, and floor. During her time at Kent she and her team were 2 time MAC Champions and made 3 NCAA regional appearances. KK is currently a nurse in the ICU.

Greg was a Gymnastics World gymnast for 14 years. He graduated form Baldwin Wallace College with a Bachelor or Science in Mathematics in 2008 and has been coaching at Gymnastics World Since.

Kristen has taught physical education, health and nutrition at the High School level in addition to teaching tumbling and recreational gymnastics since 1998.

Girls Team Coach
Connor competed for the Midwest Gymnastic’s competitive boys’ team throughout high school. Connor then went on the complete a Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Urbana University on a cheerleading scholarship. He has also been part of the Cleveland Cavaliers C-Town Throwdown dunk team since 2015. Connor has been coaching gymnastics and cheerleading since 2008.

Andrea started doing gymnastics at the age of 6. She is a former Bowling Green State University gymnast and is a USAG level 3-6 judge.

Bob started his gymnastics career at 8 years old and started coaching at 12! He competed for Warren YMCA and for 4 years at Kent State University where he co-captained the team. Bob has been working at Gymnastics World since 1979.
